Remembering Dave Haney
This year has brought so much sadness and tragedy but one of our biggest heartbreaks came with the news that we had lost Dave Haney very unexpectedly and only shortly after hearing he was ill. He passed April 27th, 2020 at the age of 75. An elementary school teacher for 30 years, he had his amateur Radio License, liked to play golf and just enjoyed being with friends. Our club members were so lucky to be counted among them. Dave really enjoyed attending RV rallies and was ready to help in any way needed.
Dave was a musician his whole life and loved the Bass guitar the most of all the instruments he played. His band played the resort circuit in the Poconos for years and was one of the most sought after bands for weddings and anniversary parties.
Dave was a much-loved husband as well as a loving father of two daughters and a doting grandfather of six and great-grandfather of two.
His wife plans to have a picnic-style Celebration of Life for Dave around his birthday of August 18th. Further details will be provided through an e-mail to our members. If you can't attend, Judy hopes you will send your stories or comments so they can be read.
Dave will be greatly remembered as a good friend and confidant to all. Rest in peace, good buddy. We're going to really miss you as well as all the great photographs you always managed to capture at our rallies. We were blessed to have known you.
